Flood Relief Effort at IVS

Pakistan is facing one of the worst calamities in its history, after the recent heavy rains and massive flooding across many regions of the country. Millions of people are without shelter, food, drinking water, medical facilities and other basic necessities. It is a time of urgent need and we all have to contribute towards the relief and rehabilitation of our fellow citizens. Towards this end, IVS is launching a Flood Relief effort jointly organized by the IVS administration, the Student Council and the Rahnuma student society, the Faculty Council, the Continuing Education Programme, and the IVS Alumni Association. At the moment, we are focusing our efforts on collecting funds that will provide immediate relief to affected families in Sindh and Balochistan. 

We encourage students, faculty, staff, alumni, other members of the IVS community and their families to contribute every bit that they can towards this effort. Donations can be made in the following ways:

  1. Cash or cheque drop-off on campus at the Accounts department or the Reception.

  2. Online bank transfer to the following account. Please make sure to note 'Flood Relief' in the transfer details and email a screenshot to [email protected]

  3. Faculty and staff who wish to voluntarily donate a portion of their salary can inform the Accounts department in writing.

IVS will be contributing to the following causes:

·        Karachi Relief Trust

·        United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

·        Affected families of IVS staff

Over the next few weeks, you will also keep hearing about targeted campaigns and activities we will launch to meet specific collection goals and to plan more longer-term rehabilitation and recovery efforts. Please keep checking your emails and social media platforms.
