Textiles manifest an important aspect of all cultures and traditions. The objective of the textile resource centre at IVS underscores the same idea. It is a valuable audio visual resource for students and textile researchers providing information. It is a designated space for design references consisting of various textile samples, traditional and contemporary. Agha Hasan Abedi Textile Resource Centre comprises printed, woven, embroidered and experimental fabric samples. A wide range of indigenous textiles is collected from all provinces of Pakistan and displayed in the resource centre along with selected thesis projects of IVS Students.
Materials andConstruction ResourceCentre (MCRC) has been developed with the objective of assisting students to gain a better understanding of theoretical elements of construction through manipulation and sensory feel. As MCRC is located within the premises of the School, students can easily access it at a time convenient to them. The availability of construction materials just a few steps away ensures that the MCRC plays an important role in the teaching and learning process. Inventory of MCRC consists of samples of metal bars, wires, sands, bricks, stones, tiles and different variety of woods used in construction work.
