ARTRAGEOUS WINTER 2011 COURSES

IVS Youth Theatre
Do you want to have fun and learn some fantastic skills? Professional actors and directors will guide young people in interesting activities in the IVS Youth Theatre.

Write Your Own Novel
This is an extensive creative writing course, aimed at those just starting out in creative writing.
All relevant topics will be covered: plotting, characterization, points of view, style, settings, voice & much more.

Youth Vocal Workshop (Singing)  
Learn basic vocal technique, how to sing as part of a group, learn how to harmonize and a have a chance to learn mic technique.

Clay Studio 
Here, the students will learn the most inventive hand built work out there and receive step-by-step instruction from the artists making it. Hand building projects, from the simple coil built pot to complex slab built sculpture, are covered in detail.

Computer Animation
Learn the workings of computer animation in this fun workshop. You will be guided by animation professionals who will explore how to create a storyboard and turn your idea into a short film!

Photography and photoshop
This workshop is essential for kids who love to capture breathtaking digital images. The students will also learn  how to improve their captured images  through Editing with a few of key tools of  Photoshop which greatly increase the quality of their photos.   Participants will also learn to add text and other effects to your images.

ArtPlay
Children from all age groups are creative together at these dynamic workshops with a different art activity each session. Make everything and anything from origami to block printing and all things in between.

The Amazing World of Watercolors
Each student gains working knowledge of the materials used in watercolor and how to handle them to create beautiful paintings.   They will also work towards improving their drawing skills

The IVS was granted an independent charter by the Government of Sindh in June 1994, thereby empowering
it to award its own degrees. It was the fourth private institution of higher learning in Pakistan to be given degree awarding status.
Admission to the School is strictly based on merit as determined by an aptitude test, an interview process and a weightage criteria.
