At Indus Valley, the Student Council is comprised of individuals who are willing and ready to perform and direct change for the student body and the institution. The council thrives on coordinating co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, community service, promoting cultural exchange, & creating awareness for social and civic responsibility. All events and activities are channeled through a proper panel comprising of department heads, coordinators, school administration and respective year representatives. Many requests, queries and proposals are almost always brought forward by the students themselves. The council is there to bridge communication between the Institution and its students. It is there to ensure voices and concerns of the students are heard and the Institution lives up to its prestige and pride. The IVS was granted an independent charter by the Government of Sindh in June 1994, thereby empowering
it to award its own degrees. It was the fourth private institution of higher learning in Pakistan to be given degree awarding status.
Admission to the School is strictly based on merit as determined by an aptitude test, an interview process and a weightage criteria.
